Hello !

I have some questions about the Skyguide's training.

Does anyone know how much time last the "Rating" module (after the seven months of basic training), and if it takes place too in Dübendorf ?

Thanks in advance

Hello uta

How long the rating lasts, depends on which rating you will do. If you are going a career as a TWR/APP ATCO, you probably first do the TWR Rating (ADI), which lasts about 3 months and afterwards the APP Rating (APS), which lasts about 3 months too.

If you are going a career as an ACC ATCO, you only do one Radar rating, which lasts about 6 months as well.

The whole timeline also depends on how big your class would be.

Usually you do the whole rating training in Dübendorf. I just know that one class (ACC UPPER GENEVA) did their last part of the rating in Geneva.

I hope I could answer your questions

Robin

Thanks !

It was to know how much time i would have to stay in Dübendorf.

So i guess it would be something like one year.

What about the schedule of the training ? (hours per day, break, lunch break)

During basic training phase you usually have lessons from 08:00 - 16:30 LT and you have about 1 hour lunchbreak and some small breaks between the lessons.

When you are in simulation the working hours can depend. one day you have simulation from 06:00 until 12:00 and the other you start at 19:00 and you train until midnight. All can be possible. Due to the high demand on the simulators thats not an exception. During simulation time you have to arrange your breaks.

One last question, what are the chance to succeed the aptitude testing ?

Acc is one of the job i would really like to do. But i feel like it would be a matter of hasard. I heard very few people pass the test... neutral
